Proximus was the fastest mobile provider in Belgium during 2H 2024, across all technologies combined. It recorded a median download speed of 101.22 Mbps, and an upload speed of 12.26 Mbps.
Proximus offered the best gaming experiences across mobile and fixed
Proximus offered the best 5G gaming experience in Belgium during 2H 2024, while Proximus fiber recorded the best gaming experience among ISPs, according to Speedtest Intelligence data.
Proximus fiber the fastest fixed ISP in Belgium
Proximus fiber was the fastest ISP in Belgium during 2H 2024 with a median download speed of 301.81 Mbps, and a median upload speed of 177.78 Mbps.
Ghent and Antwerp were the top performing cities in Belgium
Among the most populous cities in Belgium, Ghent recorded the fastest median mobile download speed of 164.97 Mbps, while Antwerp outpaced the other cities to record the fastest median fixed download speed, with 91.79 Mbps.

Proximus was the fastest mobile provider in Belgium during this period, based on Speedtest Intelligence® data for all technologies combined, with a Speed Score of 116.02. Proximus led on median download speed, recording 101.22 Mbps, ahead of next placed Orange, which recorded 80.62 Mbps, and Telenet/BASE with 73.27 Mbps. Proximus recorded a median upload speed of 12.26 Mbps, and the lowest latency with 39 ms.

Fastest 5G Network
There was no fastest 5G provider in Belgium during this period, based on Speedtest Intelligence® data, with no statistical difference between the mobile providers. Orange recorded a median 5G download speed of 183.34 Mbps, ahead of next placed Proximus, which recorded 168.67 Mbps, and Telenet/BASE with 125.85 Mbps.

Most Consistent Network
There was no winner of best mobile network Consistency in Belgium during this period, based on Speedtest Intelligence® data, with no statistical difference between the mobile providers. Orange recorded the best 5G Consistency in the market, with 85.1% of samples meeting or exceeding the threshold of 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload.

Proximus recorded the best mobile gaming experience in Belgium, with a Game Score of 89.81. Proximus provided the best 5G gaming experience in the market, with a 5G Game Score of 92.05.

Antwerp had the fastest median fixed download speed among Belgium’s most populous cities, recording 91.79 Mbps. Ghent was second, followed by Brussels in third. At the other end of the scale, Liège had the slowest median fixed download speed at 73.62 Mbps. Proximus fiber was the fastest provider across all five cities in this analysis.
