Cosmote led the mobile market across key performance metrics
Cosmote was the fastest mobile provider in Greece during 2H 2024, across all technologies combined, and also specifically for 5G. It recorded a median 5G download speed of 199.37 Mbps, and an upload speed of 18.83 Mbps.
Cosmote offered the best quality of experience
Cosmote offered the best 5G gaming and video streaming experiences in Greece during 2H 2024, according to Speedtest Intelligence data, as well as the best gaming experience among ISPs.
Pireas the top performing city in Greece
Pireas recorded the fastest median mobile and fixed download speeds among the most populous cities in Greece. Its median mobile download speed was 115.94 Mbps, and it recorded a median fixed download speed of 74.22 Mbps.

Pireas had the fastest median mobile download speed among Greece’s most populous cities, based on data for all providers combined, recording 115.94 Mbps. Thessaloniki was second, followed by Athens in third. At the other end of the scale, Volos had the slowest median mobile download speed at 77.99 Mbps, followed by Patras and Heraklion. Cosmote was the fastest provider across all seven cities.

Pireas had the fastest median fixed download speed among Greece’s most populous cities, based on results for all providers combined, recording 74.22 Mbps. Larissa was second, followed by Thessaloniki in third. At the other end of the scale, Heraklion had the slowest median fixed download speed at 45.22 Mbps, followed by Volos and Patras.
Inalan was the fastest ISP in Greece’s two most populous cities, Athens and Thessaloniki. Inalan recorded a median download speed of 225.31 Mbps in Athens, and 224.59 Mbps in Thessaloniki. Cosmote, Nova and Vodafone were fastest in Pireas, Heraklion, and Volos respectively.
