Zain led the mobile market across key performance metrics
Zain was the fastest mobile provider in Kuwait during 2H 2024, across all technologies combined, and also specifically for 5G. It recorded a median 5G download speed of 420.78 Mbps, and an upload speed of 30.61 Mbps.
Zain and Ooredoo offered the best gaming experiences
Zain recorded the best gaming experience among fixed ISPs in Kuwait, according to Speedtest Intelligence data, while Ooredoo recorded the best mobile gaming experience.
Zain the fastest fixed ISP in Kuwait
Zain was the fastest ISP in Kuwait during 2H 2024 with a median download speed of 227.79 Mbps, and a median upload speed of 34.11 Mbps.
Ahmadi and Al-Riqqa were the top performing cities in Kuwait
Among the most populous cities in Kuwait, Ahmadi recorded the fastest median mobile download speed of 295.42 Mbps, while Al-Riqqa outpaced the other cities to record the fastest median fixed download speed, with 224.24 Mbps.

Ahmadi had the fastest median mobile download speed among Kuwait’s most populous cities, recording 295.42 Mbps. Sabah Al Salem was second, followed by Rumaithiya in third. At the other end of the scale, Farwaniya had the slowest median mobile download speed at 206.31 Mbps, followed by Al-Riqqa and Kuwait City. Zain was the fastest provider across two cities, followed by Ooredoo in one.

Al-Riqqa had the fastest median fixed download speed among Kuwait’s most populous cities, recording 224.24 Mbps. Fahaheel was second, followed by Salwa in third. At the other end of the scale, Kuwait City had the slowest median fixed download speed at 169.47 Mbps, followed by Salmiya and Hawally. Zain was the fastest provider across three cities.
