Telia recorded the best mobile gaming experience in Norway during 2H 2024, while GlobalConnect offered the best gaming experience among Norwegian ISPs, according to Speedtest Intelligence data.

GlobalConnect was the fastest ISP in Norway during 2H 2024 with a median download speed of 179.33 Mbps, and a median upload speed of 173.27 Mbps.

Trondheim and Oslo were the top performing cities in Norway

Among the most populous cities in Norway, Trondheim recorded the fastest median mobile download speed of 277.03 Mbps, while Oslo outpaced the other cities to record the fastest median fixed download speed, with 181.33 Mbps.

    Telenor was the fastest mobile provider in Norway during this period, based on Speedtest Intelligence® data for all technologies combined, with a Speed Score of 172.47. Telenor led on median download speed, recording 170.72 Mbps, ahead of next placed Telia, which recorded 132.86 Mbps, and ice with 69.41 Mbps. Telenor also led the market on median upload speed, with 21.6 Mbps, and a latency of 41 ms.

    Telenor was the fastest 5G provider in Norway during this period, based on Speedtest Intelligence® data, with a Speed Score of 234.87. Telenor led on median 5G download speed, recording 255.57 Mbps, ahead of next placed Telia, which recorded 158.78 Mbps, and ice with 90 Mbps. Telenor also led the market on median 5G upload speed, with 32.78 Mbps, and a latency over 5G of 38 ms.

    Telenor recorded the best mobile network Consistency in Norway, with 92.9% of its samples meeting or exceeding the threshold of 5 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload throughput.  It also had the best 5G Consistency in the market, with 91.8% of samples meeting or exceeding the threshold of 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload.
