Movistar led the mobile market across key performance metrics
Movistar was the fastest mobile provider in Spain during 2H 2024, across all technologies combined, and also specifically for 5G. It recorded a median 5G download speed of 191.17 Mbps, and an upload speed of 17.48 Mbps.
Orange and DIGI offered the best gaming experiences
Orange offered the best 5G gaming experience in Spain during 2H 2024, while DIGI recorded the best gaming experience among ISPs.
DIGI the fastest fixed ISP in Spain
DIGI was the fastest ISP in Spain during 2H 2024 with a median download speed of 321.31 Mbps, and a median upload speed of 314.69 Mbps.
Community of Madrid and La Rioja were the top performing regions in Spain
Among the regions of Spain, Community of Madrid recorded the fastest median mobile download speed of 80.25 Mbps, while La Rioja outpaced the other regions to record the fastest median fixed download speed, with 272.40 Mbps.

The Community of Madrid had the fastest median mobile download speed among Spain’s Autonomous Communities/Cities, recording 80.25 Mbps. Asturias was second, followed by Catalonia in third. At the other end of the scale, Navarre had the slowest median mobile download speed at 40.85 Mbps, followed by Castile-La Mancha, and Castile and León. Movistar was the fastest provider across 15 regions.

La Rioja had the fastest median fixed download speed among Spain’s Autonomous Communities/Cities, recording 272.40 Mbps. Basque Country was second, followed by Navarre in third. At the other end of the scale, the Balearic Islands had the slowest median fixed download speed at 118.48 Mbps, followed by the Canary Islands and the Valencian Community. DIGI was the fastest provider across seven regions.
